Alan Keyes pisses off GOP suburb in early morning media stunt
Alan Keyes showed up at the Route 59 commuter train station that sits on the border between Naperville and Aurora Illinois. This resulted in a line of cars from the Aurora side over a mile long waiting to turn into the parking lot. Nearly 25% of commuters this morning missed their normal train over this incident, ending up 20 minutes later than usual for work.

The parking lot at the route 59 train station normally is filled up by about 8 AM. This morning it was nearly full at 7 AM due to required accomodations for Keyes show sycophants and the media. This resulted in people who normally take trains a bit later than I not being able to park and thus, being unable to commute to work.

This stunt could cost Keyes yet another percentage point.

8. In Illinois, voting a straight Dem ticket works like this
You go through the ballot punching each name that has the (D) after it.

17. I know.....except for the Keyes part
that's like my North Arl. Hts neighborhood as well, except for the one guy who has Kerry/Edwards and Ron Kirk (Rep.(R), IL) signs in his lawn. I've only seen one Keyes and that looked like it was someone who always voted straight Republican.

21. Hmm... you don't happen to live near Ivy Hill Elementary?
I have a couple friends who live near there... sweet jesus, there are so many Bush/Cheney signs it almost seems like they were planted and people just never bothered to take them down.

16. Next GOP ticket: Miller/Keyes 08!!
Zell Miller for President, running mate Alan Keyes. It would be a 'bipartisan' ticket (Zell is a Dem, you know).

We could challenge godless hedonistic countries to duels!

18. You know what's the only bad thing about Keyes losing to Obama tomorrow?
He'll probably fade into the woodwork, and we'll lose one of our best sources for comic relief.
