We're looking for articles in support of all the candidates.
The Iowa Caucus is on Monday, January 19. If possible, I think it would be cool to run eight articles that day in support of each of the eight Democratic primary candidates. (I know two of them aren't participating in Iowa, but it only seems fair to include all of them.)

Send the articles to [email protected] before 4:00PM on Sunday afternoon. We'll pick one article in support of each candidate.

Heck, if you want to make it a group effort and try to put something together with your friends on message board, you can go for it. If you want to do that, let me know and I will start an "OFFICIAL SUPPORTERS' THREAD" for you to write your "endorsement" free of disruption.

Don't make it too long. I think 1,000 words is the absolute maximum.

Here's our chance to do something positive for our candidates.

1. Great Idea!!
I think it is awesome that everyone in this community really comes together. Unity is the only way that we are going to get rid of W. And everyone knows that is the only way to save the country. Go Clark!!

2. Welcome to DU, abandapart21
We are capable of coming together, but there certainly hasn't been much unity during this primary.

4. If you want to try to write an endorsement for your candidate
along with other people on the message board, let me know, and I'll start a thread for that purpose. I'll make it clear that the purpose of the thread is for supporters of that candidate to write the endorsement, and opponents should respect that and just stay out.

5. I'm going to unpin this for a bit.
I don't think people are seeing it when it's pinned to the top.

9. Thanks Skinner
When I heard about Bush's recess appointment of Pickering today it renewed my focus to oust him in November. Looking forward to reading the positives our candidates have to offer to defeat Bush.

It only takes one person to write an endorsement.

11. Thank you so much!
A voice of sanity. I'm terrified we're going to destroy each and every candidate we have FOR the RNC and that we'll get four more years of the BFEE by default.

Unless we can unite as a party all is lost. It's so painful to watch.

Thanks for this. :)

17. If anyone else wishes to start threads for their candidates...
If supporters of any other candidates wish to start work on articles supporting their candidates, you can start your own thread based on the ones I did for the other candidates.

Post a link to your thread in this thread, so people know where to find it.

(I'm going to bed now.)

29. Skinner - I notice for Sharpton you have a link to his site...if I
may make a suggestion, a coupla weeks ago Plaid Adder wrote an excellent article with theme being something like "What kind of messed-up country is it where Sharpton isn't considered a serious candidate?" I was most impressed, as I usually am with her essays, and suggest you use that as your front-page Sharpton article. If she's okay with it, of course.
