Singer Morrissey has urged US voters to get rid of George Bush.
The star – who lives in Los Angeles – said the president had turned the US into the most “neurotic and terror-obsessed country on the planet”.Morrissey sparked controversy earlier this year when he reportedly told a concert in Dublin he wished President Bush had died instead of Ronald Reagan.
In a statement on his official website he said: “With all my heart I urge people to vote against George Bush ... John Kerry is the logical and sane move.
“Please bring sanity and intelligence back to the United States. Don’t forget to vote. Vote for John Kerry and get rid of George Bush.”
