B/CWebsite decieves its own supporters!!!
I went to www.bushcheney.org to check something. They have a "poll" on the front page re: Which candidate has your vote?

Except -- like the Drudge Report "polls" -- it's not a real poll. It's a hyperlink to a webstore selling flags and other "patriotic" stuff.

Just to see what would happen, I selected Kerry -- and got the message: "Thanks for your vote of confidence! We'll release the results of our nationwide poll at the end of this week!"

-- then an offer for a free flag, which takes you to a store selling flags and other "patriotic" stuff. (Oh --and of course, there's a $5,99 S&H charge for the "free" flag).

Can't wait to see the B/C poll "results"
And wonder what the kickbacks to www.americanflags.com are.

Does this stuff bother anyone else? I know it's a small thing -- but it's representative of a larger thing. It's ridiculous - and untruthful.

1. yes, something about it bothers me
I had the same experience around the time of the republican convention in NYC. NPR did a feature on the comedians who would be providing entertainment to the republicans after hours. I listened to some of the comedians' routines and they were based on lies. Needless to say, not very funny.

I thought these people can't even have a good laugh that's not based on lies!

It is fundamentally disturbing, I think, to see lying and hypocrisy so prevalent in their campaign but then again, remember what their "leaders" said: they create their own reality.

2. A capitalist rip off at it's finest...................
bait and switch followed by "free" merchandise that ends up costing you more than the item's worth in the first place. That B/C are affiliated with this comes as no surprise. Their entire administration has been bait and switch and selling the American people crap disguised as quality merchandise. Two peas in a pod here. A match made in capitalist heaven.
As for the poll? I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for any results. Just a sham to get you to their store.

3. Ummm, that's because the official site is www.georgewbush.com
bushcheney.org is just a person's site, not official.
