No doubt, we're starting to see some movement
Edited on Thu Oct-21-04 02:49 PM by RummyTheDummy
This should be nothing new to DUers, but to media whores like Judy Woodruf who continue to carry Karl Rove's water for BushCo. it may be new.

If the rumoured Ohio Gallup poll tonight is correct, and Kerry is up by 6 (or whatever, it is Gallupafter all) and the new AP poll shows Kerry up by 3 nationally (of course they spin it as a dead heat) and if you look at the recent Survey USA polls, showing Kerry reaching 50 percent of the vote for the first time in Fla. and you also look at the fact the new Zogby has us up in Iowa again, it looks like undecided's are starting to break for Kerry.

Or am I on crack?

4. If we could just shut down CNN, FOX, MSGOP, CNBC, Headline "News"...
and CNNFN, Kerry would be ahead clearly by now. Cable "News" is the OFFICIAL Propaganda arm of the GOP!!!

12. That's right, it's REALITY vs. 'The Media' at this point....
Let the reality flow...and open the people's eyes!! The Media will try and filter it out as much as possible...but they can't filter your own eyes, they can't stop you from thinking for yourself, they can only yell and scream louder, write and say more nonsense...

but at some point, who are your going to believe?

5. You may well be right
Let's hope so. I am anxiously awaiting the Gallup poll tonight.

David Gergen (whose political wisdom I greatly respect) said that real movement will happen 10 days before the election. We're now at 12 days. Just maybe the movement has begun.

6. not on crack..I mentioned what I saw last night
on tweety's show..Andrea Mitchell was speaking to the Gov of PA by phone and she couldn't believe that African Americans would be coming out and motivated to vote bush out just because they are angry..I guess her point was they aren't energized like they were with Clinton?
the Gov of PA said "i dont' think you realize what is goign on here" and the media folks DON'T realize what is going on here...we will not be surprised...but the rest of America will and all the Bush lovers will because they will have been told he was "ahead" or it will be close..but we wont' even give them a chance to call it close...MY opinion of course

20. Mitchell might be surprised by the fact that the media spin about Blacks
hasn't worked. For two days now I've heard report after report about how Gore got more support from Blacks than Kerry is getting and the reason is because he isn't considered Black like Clinton was. The "polls" showed that 1 out of 5 Black voters were going to vote for Bush.

I don't believe that spin.

7. Too bad it's not the 28th, instead of the 21st.
Kerry needs to peak for November 2nd. We still have a ways to go.

9. If Kerry is getting the CLEAR LEAD, it will build up slowly.
The 21st is a good time to see a shift in your favor. As the effects slowly go through the electorate, they will be primed to elect Kerry on the 2nd!

10. If it's a slow gradual shift
Edited on Thu Oct-21-04 02:55 PM by RummyTheDummy
Which I think that's exactly what it has been, they would be right on target 12 days out. Given that admittedly big assumption, it should reach a crescendo the weekend before the election.

15. I agree, it just means
another way to see it is that it just has longer to go and therefore will go higher. I'm absolutely convinced now that it will break toward Kerry more and more, and won't stop. The endorsements continue to come in, the undecideds fall to the challenger- it's all in place. That means that starting now is a damn good sign.

Forget the cable news.

He's down everywhere and Bush's strong leadership is expanding his lead.

13. The noble sacrifice of a goose.
Although I feel sorry for the goose that had to be sacrificed in OH this morning..its life will not be lost in vain. A greater good will come out it..OH will tilt more towards Kerry and with that the whole nation. And with John Kerry as President the world will be a better place.

And all for the noble sacrifice of a goose !

21. I think movement now is perfect.
This isn't one of those campaigns with sudden changes. All the changes have been slow and steady.

How in fuck could anyone break for Kerry, and then break back to Bush?

Anyone who does that should be slapped.

What I like is that Bush's approval rating is low; and his internals on specific questions are terrible.

We just need to keep up our hard work and persistence for less than two weeks!

We can do it! We are going to win this thing.

Notice you don't hear freeper types screaming "W Landslide" like you did in 2000? Why do you suppose that is?

They're feeling it. And many of them are secretly embarrassed by Bush, and will stay home.

Watch and see.

26. While I was frustrated at polls showing * with a large lead,
I always wondered where that lead was coming from. Think about it for a second: Gore got more popular votes than Bush in 2000. For * to get a lead of any sort would mean that Gore (and Nader) voters had suddenly switched to * and that, even during my darkest days of frustration, seemed highly implausible to me.
