Help..the MOTH TO THE FLAME theory...Christians..
I keep hearing Bush* and ilk pushing their conclusion that we are fighting the terrorists in Iraq so we don't have to face them here...

WHY ,why, why doesn't someone question him on
how he expects the Iraqi people to ever trust the US when our leader obviously considers their lives expendable?

The theory comes down to one issue our American lives (with exception of our soldiers) are more important than the lives of innocent Iraqis, children included.

How abhorrently ridiculous and unchristian.

Also.. why the hell aren't the righteous Christians in this country demanding we stop the genocide going on in the Sudan.... it makes me sick with anger.

1. in addition to the fact that it is a lie
it is argument by assertion

"terrorism" is spreading out around the globe, not concentrating in Iraq

plus, the insurgents aren't "terrorists," they are Iraqi nationalists.

4. Yes.. but don't you think the basic concept of
their theory could be considered racist?

Isn't it simple enough a response to be brought up by the
dumbed down media and handed to the dumbed down public to consider?

2. Not only that but the illogic of it all.
It's a false dichotomy & begging the question all wrapped up in one. "Either we fight the terrorists there or we fight them here". Bogus because those aren't the only two options, and because there's no proof that fighting terrorists in one place will necessarily mean they can't attack elsewhre. By fighting them there, we could be increasing their membership elsewhere to better enable attacks here. Or by fighting them there, our military is distracted from other places where they are better organized and more able to launch further attacks.

So sad that the media can't stand up and call this bullshit.

I surely wish God would fulfill his campaign promise -- ie, the rapture, so the rest of us can let the true healing (of the world) begin. Nothing against God, its his followers who are driving me crazy!!!

And please God, hurry it up, will ya? Sometime between now and Nov 2nd would really be nice. Thanks and AMEN!

7. Yes, EXACTLY, it's disgusting! We should be challenging all...
"true" Christians with this. Yesterday, I saw a huge homemade sign across a back car window that said "BE A HERO, VOTE PRO-LIFE!" I thought, ya-know as a Christian, I agree...but my sign would probably read more like "VOTE PRO-LIFE, BUSH KILLS!"

How in the hell is an unborn baby worse than 10's of 1000's of Iraqi children and innocents????? Makes me so sick...

9. I'm around alot of anti abortion types..
The one thing I've noticed is thier tendency towards denial.

I got that coffee table book with the great pics of the womb from conception to birth.
When I showed it to the most hardcare anti abortionist I know
she says," ooh gross.. who wants to see that....?"

I was just floored- it didn't fit into her fantasy world about what life is.
It is the simplist way to deal with pain ... same reason so many flocked to see the Passion. ..it isn't real...makes them feel like they are off the hook..

The woman I mentioned drove 3 hours to see the advance screening -- ordered and passed out free literature about the film to her church...

Its just easier than dealing with the suffering our nation condones and participates in around the world.

8. As I have said in other posts,
it bothers me tremendously that they're okay with the idea of using our soldiers as bait.

Not to mention the fact that there's no logic in the idea that ALL terrorists are going to operate in Iraq.

10. But look at history
When has organized religion ever really represented what they preach? I cannot think of many wars that didn't have religious issues at its core. It's hypocrisy at its worst.

12. Try this: Terrorism is a cancer
Taking the most obvious tumor out may not cure the whole thing, and the most invasive methods may not always work. More often than not, multiple methods of treatment are used to destroy malignant cells where they cannot be found by the naked eye.
