Rasmussen Battleground Polls for 10/18 (Mixed News)
The best news is that Bush and Kerry are tied at 47% in Rasmussen's 3 day national tracking polls, that's a 2 point gain from yesterday.

http://www.rasmussenreports.com

This matches Zogby's margin, as he has the race tied in his 3 day national tracking for the same period, at 45% each. That is also a 2 point Kerry gain from yesterday.

In the Rasmussen 7 day rolling averages for 5 key battleground states the results for today are:

Florida, Bush 47%-46% (This is a 1 point Kerry gain from yesterday)

Michigan, Kerry 49%-45% (This is a 2 point Kerry gain from yesterday)

Minnesota, Tie 47% (This is a 2 point Bush gain from yesterday)

Ohio, Bush 49%-47% (This is a 1 point Bush gain from yesterday)

Pennsylvania, Kerry 49%-45% (This is a 2 point Kerry gain from yesterday)

2. I think this is good news
Look at Bush's share of the vote. He's polling at 47 percent and lower in all of them except Ohio. That's poor for an incumbent.

4. I'm not worried about Minnesota
Bush isn't winning any state he polls 47 percent in.

5. mostly good, and don't worry about Minnesota, Bush has conceded there
another point or 2 and Kerry seals Pennsylvania and Michigan for good, these latest figures jive with the stories of Bush pulling out of Pennsylvanai last week.

6. Overall this is good.
I'm still a bit concerned, because I think we need one of Florida or Ohio.

7. Whew!
Based on the mixed news comment I expected worse when I opened the thread. It doesn't look too bad though overall, Bush is under 50% everywhere.

8. Mostly good. You are good at playing the expectations game yourself.
I was happily surprised.

9. Heh
Does Raz dare to show Kerry up in Florida? Tee hee. Numbers and trendlines look very, very good. The Minnesota thing is preposterous - - * has conceded the state. Yanking NC and replacing it with MN in the polling was a Republitool PR/disinformation move.
