behavior I've ever seen. Their position is absolutely untenable under the scope of any kind of civil discourse.

They have absolutely NOTHING, and have resorted to the most childish and fascist arguments possible. Totally unAmerican stuff, pure immaturity.

I just heard Imus and his cronies talking about how they don't even really give a shit about the disabled- "Bush should ask if you really WANT people like Larry Flynt up and walking?"

If we can't win at this point, America is lost, and not worth saving.

America is voting to prove its own worth on November 2nd.

2. How do you fight pure ignorance and immaturity?
How do you fight against people who HAVE NO VALUES?

12. I understand what you're saying
It truly blows my mind -- and is the kind of thing that shakes the very foundations upon which I was raised, and how I thought that things were, in the world.

As a child, I was taught to respect educated people, that everyone had a voice, that we're a "melting pot" (out of many, one), that cooperation and consensus-building were important for success, that you should do everything you can to help those less fortunate than yourself, that you should be kind, and that people of all stripes are equal.

I thought about it, long and hard, the other day, about how even though Christianity gets ripped on, because of its delusional followers, that the transformational message of Jesus Christ is amazing -- and one which symbolizes the dichotomy between egalitarianism and social darwinism. Being able to reduce one's own personal status and "individuality" in deferrence to the good of a collective, or society, to turn away from material things, and the "sins" of the flesh (which simply means -- not letting the desires of the body rule you) -- these are things that stand not only in the message of Jesus, but several other religious philosophers and secular ethicists have perpetuated the same idea -- the deferrence of the desires of the individual to the transcendental idea of a moral absolute that determines that people are equal (egalitarianism) stands in DIRECT opposition to the base animal instincts that we have, and perhaps the ruthless and dark side of human nature.

It's fascinating, really. And since that idea is actually ABSENT from the right, I agree -- they really do not have any morals. What they could have learned from the Bible has been lost for Leviticus -- as always to deliniate a group that can represent the "other" -- the other being the actor, in instinctual Social Darwinian mode, that is to be capitalized upon .

The GOP does have a guiding principle, though -- and that is magical thinking, Biblical and Historical revisionism, fear of the "other," scapegoating, nationalism, cultural supremacy, money first -- people second, and a wish to return to an idealized past that never existed (1950s) -- all things that combine to tease the birth of totalitarianism fascism. Fascism is rootless -- it takes apart history, it takes apart moral systems, it takes apart REALITY -- and substitutes it with a "narrative."

The right is living a "story."

It appears to me that many of the followers of this cult actually revel in the lies & deception. Evil = strong. Good = weak.

3. I think we're going to win, but if we don't,
we still may see Nixon redux. The house of cards is falling down, and even if Bush has power, he has to abuse it EVEN MORE than he's doing now to keep his ass out of trouble. In other words, he and his people are already dancing as fast as they can. We can't despair, even if we lose. Which we won't.

20. And if they start WW3, then why do you think wherever you move
will be any safer?

You have the power, now, here, to help stop them in their tracks before they turn our great country into Nazi America and expand their push for total global control.

5. Imus-- disgusting
After hearing this I will never ever again watch Imus. When he was in his anti-Bush mode I would watch him occasionally, now I despise that man.

6. Agreed
This election is a barometer on who we are and who we will be.

I was just in Europe. I found NO ONE who had a problem with me because I was an American. I did find lots of people who hated George bush with a passion and couldn't understand how anyone on earth would like him. These guys who I spoke to on my trip, two Dutch gentlemen, were actually trying to follow the election state-by-state they were so interested in the outcome. They asked me tons of questions about what is the biggest city in the US, what state Chicago is in, etc. They care about us and themselves.

But here's the deal ... I'm not so sure that they will feel the same if Bush is re-elected. This time his "selection" was a dirty trick. If we actually, wholeheartedly CHOOSE him next time, they will have no choice but to conclude that we like him, we ARE like him, and we want to take over the middle east, and who knows where else.

I have faith in my fellow Americans. I have faith in them - I really do. They will NOT re-elect chimp boy. I feel it in my bones.

I am terrified and I guess this business with Sinclair airing pure propaganda has really disturbed me. It's not that they are, it's that they can, unimpeded, just before an election and no one but us lefty's are outraged. Where are our checks and balances? This country has been hijacked by the 'People of the Lie'.

Americans came through during Clinton's impeachment, and here's hoping they come through now.

Sorry, I'm going to have to drink more coffee...

7. We're headed towards fascism.

The Sinclair deal has sealed it. I'm still stunned. That this is even happening in America has shown how low we have sunk. I'm beginning to wonder if the incompetent, greedy, stupid, consciousless fuck in the White House really is the face of America, or rather, Amerikkka.

When NPR was interviewing Cubans some months ago, it made me want to cry. These people may be living under a Socialist Dictatorship, yet they feel sorry for the materialistic, shallow Capitalists up north. They displayed more compassion and intelligence in their 5 minute interviews than the whole of America these past 4 years. If you have a heart, soul or mind, you have no place in America these days.

10. "If you have a heart, soul or mind"
"...you have no place in America these days".

That one bites pretty deep on me, guess the truth hurts. I've caught myself looking around more and more, and thinking "God, what an evil f*cking place this is." And this is coming from a godless commie pinko faggot.

15. It just shows how scared those Repugs are
It really shows the lack of confidence they have in their candidate to get the job done. Think about how much they have to loose if Chimpy doesn't get reelected.

Keep the pressure on!

8. I think we need a new word to describe the neo-con philosophy:
Ass-holeism.

That's all it is. The political philosophy of "FUCK YOU!" and "I'LL BE A PIECE OF SHIT IF I WANT TO!"

18. Correct, and though I have been working and donating to see that we do

prove our worth and the fact that we deserve to be Leader of the Free World, etc.

My belief is that the Imperial Subjects of Amerika are prime and ripe for Bootlicking Virtual Slavery, that as a whole, there aren't enough of us who care to save it vs. the Bushevik Stooges who yearn for Totalitarianism, Orwellianism, and the One-Party State so long as THEY are on top.

If that is the case, then America is already in the ashheap of history.
