Tweety's Panel: Predictions
Edited on Tue Oct-12-04 04:11 PM by Jack_Dawson
After tomorrow's debate, I predict we'll see Pat Buchanan, Joe Scarborough, that lackey W.H. lawyer, Andrea "I married a freeper" Mitchell and Ron Reagan.

Conclusions:

Tweety: Bush didn't fall down - I thought he was the clear winner
Lackey: This was Bush's night
Buchanan: Bush mopped the floor with him
Scarborough: Last time I spoke my mind, I got in trouble. Bush won.
Reagan: Can I say somethi..."ANDREA, your thoughts?"

Am I missing someone?

1. Has anyone been e-mailing him to get some balance on his panels?
God knows they need it. It was unwatchable last week.

2. Scar: "never has the choice for americans been clearer than
tonight. I don't see now how Kerry can win this thing."

Matthews: "but we know where you're coming from. Lets go to non-opportunist, objective Howard Fineman."

Fineman: "I think both did what they had to do and there was no clear winner, even though everyone else outside us hacks will say Kerry trounced him. Either way, I look fair...eh, Chris?"

4. I am in week 8 of no Tweety
(which is fabulous, BTW), but my inside sources tell me the panel will consist of:

Adolf Hitler
S. Sgt. Barry Sadler
David Duke
Foghorn Leghorn
Dee Dee Myers

Should be a good one.... :)

5. the one liberal on the panel is Ron Reagan jr and he's pathetic
His commentator skills are laughable and is outgunned by the professional pundits on the Hardball panel.

I would be all for replacing him with a serious liberal commentator who can offer some true insightful commentary.

6. Buchanan: Kerry stumbled on his answer regarding the Ten Commandments
Edited on Tue Oct-12-04 04:17 PM by emulatorloo
"This is the burning domestic issue of the day, and Kerry's opposition to the display of the Ten Commandments in federal buildings will hurt him on election day."

<snip>

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Supreme Court said Tuesday it will take up the constitutionality of Ten Commandments displays on government land and buildings, a surprise announcement that puts justices in the middle of a politically sensitive issue.

7. Tweety: "Bush's loss of bodily functions showed his humanity"
Buchanan: "And his tracking up of the carpeting that way with his footprints in his feces clearly let you know where he stood"

Reagan: "I thought his feces were a bit too..."

Tweety: "Thanks Ron, how about you, Andrea?"

Andrea: "Well, Kerry missed an excellent opportunity to grab the viewer's attention away from Bush's dramatic display, but it was all Bush after that. So, I'd have to call the debate a draw for now."

Ginsburg: "And notice that Bush didn't slump this time or grimace or grunt as he lost bowel control, a great improvement over the first debate."

Tweety: "All in all this race is tightening up." "Any last thoughts, Pat?"

Buchanan: "Bush did more than just mop the floor tonight."

11. I actually think you're wrong.
I was shocked at how much Bush got hammered after the first debate. I have a feeling we're going to see him stumble madly and that the expectations will be high because of his better than normal debate performance Friday night.

12. The panel changed noticeably after the 1st debate
It took a hard right turn, as did the analysis. NBC definitely got its marching orders.
