When Cheney said that John Edwards' hometown paper
calls him "Senator Gone," Edwards should have said that Bush's hometown paper says to vote for John Kerry.

1. We are always the ones responding to attacks
Just once I would like to see Kerry and Edwards start something (like this fact about the Crawford paper), rather than be on the defensive all the time.

There are plenty of things they could say.

2. That's true. John Kerry or a surrogate could refer to
Bush's hometown paper and some of the points in the editorial, without the Republicans initiating the concersation.

3. They do
Bush said he didn't think we could win the war on terror. What's that bulge? Sinclair reaches 25% of all homes and is a right wing propaganda machine, so much for liberal media. Unfortunately, people don't seem to be able to get together on one page and beat an issue into the ground. For some reason, Democrats only act when attacked.

4. I agree
If the people across the US knew that his own small town paper is against him would that ever make a difference. But Senator Kerry still has a chance to bring it up in the debate. The major points that the Iconclast made against Bush were largely domestic.
