I HEARD on CNN this AM that they scrapped one poll because..
it was too tilted towards JK. The guy on Weekend American Morning said they HAD a poll up but 'those Kerry people were up early and made it TOO in favor of Kerry, so we started over".

WTF????

31. Yeah, DU is a good sounding board
But sometimes when I'm out on the road and some redneck gives me shit because I have a Kerry sticker on my car, I feel a rant coming which seems rational to me, but to anybody else, I appear to have gone over the edge and require a padded cell.

This entire 4 year torture chamber has just clued me in to my anger. I need to do something about it. It's not rational to want to bitch slap the other half of the country on a daily basis.

29. I voted early this a.m. Not too early, but early. Had to get up early to
mow the lawn, so I surfed before going out, while drinking my coffee. So....was I wrong to do that? I would've done that, no matter what. ????

But they are right in one sense, you know. The skewed polls don't jive with what phone call polls and focus groups were saying. So clearly the Dems are just organized with the Internet thing. But I'm okay with that. If we weren't this good at it, the Repubs would be skewing the polls.

The chimp messed up his debate with Kerry so he gets a one hour do over on TeeVee. CNN doesn't like the results of their poll, so they get a do over. Kerry wins the election and chimpco doesn't like the results...............A Do Over?

32. I find that hard to believe, but. . .
I find it hard to believe that someone actually said that.

Nevertheless, when the pool results showed 70-30 last night after the debate, with maybe 80,000 votes, and again this morning around the same with 355,000 votes, you just gotta wonder about circumstances that bumped the voting into the high six figures with such a dramatic turnaround.

So now, not only are government officials encouraged to blow the whistle on criminal and/or incompetent policies, we now have to encourage CNN back office people to spill the beans on these polls.

Something stinks.

49. Let CNN hear your anger!!! It's easy to do, will take just a few seconds
Just let them know that you're very angry over their pulling one poll, and starting another one that reflects right-wing bias:

Just go to these pages, they have a form that you submit -- just fill in the quick info.

CNN Headline News, CNN Headline News, http://www.cnn.com/feedback/forms/form1.html?33

CNN Headline News, Report Errors, http://www.cnn.com/feedback/forms/form6a.html?3

Here's my note to CNN -- if you want to do variations on it and submit it, that's A-OK by me --

How dare CNN pull the initial results of their Quickvote "Who do you think won the debate?" that showed John Kerry leading George Bush, 85% to 14%! Those results can still be viewed at http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2004/

Secondly, how dare CNN initiate ANOTHER Quickvote, "Who won the second presidential debate?" this time referring to "President Bush" and "John Kerry" If you're going to use titles, how about "Senator John Kerry?"

And now that CNN has likely reacted in deference to right-wing activist pressure, the Quickvote tally shows Bush ahead with a commanding 57% to 41% of the vote.

Isn't it amazing what a difference a new poll makes? Is this just a small preview of what electronic voting will do come November 2?

I am very disappointed in CNN -- you either caved in to right-wing activist pressure, or you are showing your own bias. Either way, it is not a positive scenario for CNN.

50. I just monitored this poll for 10 minutes.
I saw an increase of 14,550 votes in that 10 minutes, broken down as 11,770 votes for Bush and 3,026 votes for Kerry in that 10 minutes. That's over 1,100 votes a MINUTE registered for Bush vs about 300 a minute for Kerry. I simply don't buy that there are THAT many Bush supporters as opposed to Kerry supporters sitting at home voting one at a time on Saturday. This poll is being deliberately manipulated.
