Hello, this is GOD speaking. I'm an Independent.
http://www.macombdaily.com/stories/100804/opi_skubick001.shtml

snip-
If the good Lord really does forgive sinners, some argue that the Revs. Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson should step to the front of the line
-snip

snip-
Critics of the two ultraconservative ministers contend they have violated that sacred separation of church and state provision in our Constitution. And they did it by indicating everyone should get serious about voting for George W. Bush. One of them even suggested the Lord has told him Bush will win.

-snip

snip-
The head of the Michigan Catholic Conference said it is "very presumptuous for Falwell to direct the way Catholics should vote. That is not his responsibility or even his area of expertise." Amen.
-snip

snip-
But conservative state Sen. Alan Cropsey, R-DeWitt, said to hold the collection plate. He asks: Where are all the critics when the Rev. Jessie Jackson campaigns for Democrat John Kerry?
-snip

My note: Ummmm, Mr Cropsey, perhaps there are no critics because the Rev Jessie Jackson knows how to keep his faith and his politicking separate. :eyes:

1. Hey this is God....
This is God Phil Vassar

Hey this is God
Could I please have your attention?
There’s a need for intervention
Man, I’m disappointed in what I’m seeing

Yeah this is God
You fight each other in My Name
Treat life like it’s a foolish game
Well, I say you’ve got the wrong idea

Oh all I’m asking for is love
I’ve seen you hurt yourselves enough
Oh I’ve been waiting on a change in you…..

Yeah this is God
I’ve given everything to you
Oh but look at what you do
To the world that I created

This is God
What’s with this attitude and hate?
You grow more ignorant with age
You had it made…
Now look at all you’ve wasted

Oh all I’m asking for is love
I’ve seen you hurt yourselves enough
Oh I’ve been waiting on a change in you

I know your every thought your heart and soul and every move
There are so many consequences to the things you do

Oh all I’m asking for is love
Haven’t you hurt yourselves enough
Oh I’ve been waiting on a change in you….
A change in you…….
Oh this is God…

2. Yeah, where are the critics of Jesse Jackson?
Edited on Fri Oct-08-04 03:54 PM by NoPasaran
How can it be I don't think I've ever heard anyone say anything the least bit critical about Reverend Jackson? Not a one! In all these years! How can that be possible?

6. God's Billboards
I never said, "Thou shalt not think."
—God

That "Love Thy Neighbor" thing . . . I meant it.
- God

Okay, you've got multiplying down. Now let's try replenishing for a while.
—God

I don't care who started it. Just stop it.
—God

If you seek to know my ways, read a damn science book.
—God

You'd better have stopped fighting by the time I get back, or you're all grounded.
—God

You're not tracking those bloody footprints in here.
—God

Just look at this planet! Do you expect me to clean this up?
--God

Here's a clue—if they say they're doing it in my name, they're lying.
—God

I gave you a bigger brain for a reason. Start using it.
—God

If you don't clean this place up, you won't get another millennium.
—God

I don't blame video games when my children start shooting each other.
—God

I like to kick things off with a bang. A Big Bang.
—God

If you didn't hear it straight from my lips, take it with a grain of salt.
—God

All this will someday be your children's.
—God

There is no such thing as killing in my name.
—God

Stop smirking, America. I'm talking to you, too.
—God
