DFA surprises a candidate with a donation. This is very nice!
I saw this note at the blog, and it so nice to see her family and her website. It made me realize this is what it is all about. Here is a portion of the note, as she was so surprised.
SNIP..."Thank you DFA!

I just received a contribution to my school board campaign from the grassroots activists of DFA according to the letter signed by Governor Dean.

Wow - when I spent so many months reading the Blog and posting to it, giving campaign advice, coordinating house parties, running Meetups, etc., I never imagined I would be on the other end as a candidate.

I didn't apply to be a member of the Dean Dozen because the filing period for my race came after the Dean Dozen candidates were already chosen (mid-August)." She goes on to express her surprise again. Here is her website. Lovely family.

2. She is impressive, and I like this part of the bio.
"As a public interest attorney, Susan has devoted much of her life to improving public education.

She is the founder and past executive director of an innovative and model program to increase community involvement in public schools.

Susan created and implemented training programs for teachers and taught American government and journalism in a public high school."

I absolutely love the way DFA is working with so many candidates. They post at the blog, and they keep in touch with other DFA members often by email. Heck, I had a congressional candidate call me from two different states to say thanks. I just never paid attention to other candidates before.

Dean remembers them, too. A person met him on a flight yesterday. She was from Tampa. Dean asked her if she had heard about Rob MacKenna, running for elections supervisor. I thought that was impressive....turns out she supported Rob. He knows the candidates names and how they are doing, too.

3. Hey MadFloridain
I just read your post about the Dean/Reed debate. Do you know if it will be shown anywhere? I'd like to see that.
