Exercise SimulationsWashington, D.C., Nov. 3, 2000 — The fire and smoke from the downed passenger aircraft billows from the Pentagon courtyard. Defense Protective Services Police seal the crash sight. Army medics, nurses and doctors scramble to organize aid. An Arlington Fire Department chief dispatches his equipment to the affected areas.

Don Abbott, of Command Emergency Response Training, walks over to the Pentagon and extinguishes the flames. The Pentagon was a model and the "plane crash" was a simulated one.

The Pentagon Mass Casualty Exercise, as the crash was called, was just one of several scenarios that emergency response teams were exposed to Oct. 24-26 in the Office of the Secretaries of Defense conference room.

On Oct. 24, there was a mock terrorist incident at the Pentagon Metro stop and a construction accident to name just some of the scenarios that were practiced to better prepare local agencies for real incidents.

3. Have you ever noticed something STRANGE about this picture?
Look at this for a minute, what do you see?

Notice the tall buildings in the foreground? Look how close those buildings are to the Pentagon.

Now look at the area around the Pentagon:
http://maps.google.com/?ll=38.870437,-77.055831&spn=0.018009,0.033946&t=k

There are NO buildings even remotely resembling the ones in that "crash" scenario picture around the Pentagon.

So where are those buildings supposed to be? New York maybe?

7. How you considered
that you are looking at a model room; that there might be more than one model.

8. That building on the far left in the foreground
Edited on Sat Apr-29-06 10:48 AM by Mind_your_head
makes me think of the John Hancock Tower in Chicago (although it would be on a different scale than their pentagon model, I believe)

Also, the V-shaped building in the foreground on the right is an unusual design. I wonder if that is a 'specific building' somewhere. Does anyone recognize it? Although only being about 20 stories tall or so, it wouldn't be a prominently known building, still the shape is distinctive.

edit: to use Hancock building's correct name

11. The Crystal City Hyatt Regency is V shaped
You're cracking me up with the 'different scale' bit. The models in the disaster drill photos show about 10-15 stories, just like the buildings in the aerial photo posted in #6. Why not focus on the obvious condiLie that no one could have imagined that airplanes could be used in an attack (bojinka)?

The V shaped building is distinctive, and its located a little over a mile south of the pentagon:

12. Guess you're right about the V-shape building being the Hyatt
(glad you got a chuckle at my expense ;-) b/c I don't personally know Washington, I just look at maps)

What do you suppose that black building in the left foreground is?

When I wrote my post #8 I was thinking/suggesting perhaps 'they' were considering all kinds of scenarios in different cities/locations and just had all of these random building props around. I could very well be off base with that, but just thought I'd 'throw it out' there. Please everyone, just disregard it if you don't think it has any merit.

-----------------

As far as Why not focus on the obvious condiLie that no one could have imagined that airplanes could be used in an attack (bojinka)?

I guess b/c I already KNOW it's an obvious lie. I take that as a 'given' already.

Who/what is bojinka?

Peace,
M_Y_H

14. Project Bojinka was an al Qaeda plot to crash hijacked
airliners into the Pentagon, the WTC, and Sears Tower.

Philippine Intelligence got the story out of Abdul Hakim Murad in 1995,
and then extradited him to the USA.

Peter Lance writes about it in "1000 Years for Revenge"

in that way before.

Those are BIG city skyscrapers.

These are not…

They have been playing and planing the 911 war game for years.

I said in another thread that it is amazing what a small but well trained
group of people can do WITHOUT the government’s help, such as the recent bank heist in England.

Now imagine what a small but well trained group of people can do WITH the government’s help, you get 911.

use planes as bombs. If I was a cop, and I'm not, that particular untruth would be really damning for them.

Edited to add:
Hey look, the plane went through to the center and left wreckage in their sim... shows you why computer models are no substitute for real life I suppose.

13. well, it was supposed to be an accidential crash
I agree they lie repeatetedly about "no one imagined.." not just for 9-11 but for damn near everything. It should be this groups motto. But, in this case the crash in the exercise was of a plane heading out of National that crashed by accident into the center of the building. I think it was a scenerio like the iced-up plane that went into the Potomac in 82, but I could be wrong, it might have been a plane crashing on approach.

At any rate this specific exercise dealt with an accidential crash...
