So when does the evidence suppressed for Moussaoui trail get released
The Administration has been claiming that much of the evidence was being held in secret and not released
because of plans to release it during the Moussaoui trial.

Now due to the fact the Administartion officials were coaching witnesses, the trial may be over.

When will the security tapes from the Pentagon West wall and the Gas Station and Hotel be released?
Is there any news about this?

1. Chief Prosecutor says Moussaoui trial may be over since the judge
Edited on Wed Mar-15-06 09:10 PM by philb
threw out witnesses that had been coached by the Prosecution.

Isn't it against the law to frame people by coaching witnesses??
Why haven't the prosecutors been arrested???

"The judge delivered a stinging blow to the prosecution on Tuesday, striking out six witnesses and all evidence relating to aviation security, after it was revealed government lawyer Carla Martin had coached witnesses."

2. I don't know, it's bizarre
they act like;"woops, the governments atty made an error", but it seems to me that it was intentional because they didn't want any information coming out. The defense was that the FBI knew more than Moussaoui did, so obviously they did not want that coming out. I bet that's why she isn't getting in trouble. It's so scary what is happening, it's like there is no law any more. Someone involved with the case said something like "the show must go on.." or something like that(before this happened) which sums it up, it's a show...

3. My understanding is that the "coaching" ...
... was actually in the form of telling the witnesses what had happened on another day of the trial (they read them transcripts or something). They weren't directly telling the witnesses what to say or anything like that, although that may be implied.

This is a big no-no for all lawyers. I can't believe they were (a) so stupid as to do it and (b) so stupid as to get caught.

5. Maybe they were stupid like a fox.
If it's a mistrial, don't they have to do another one? So maybe they can keep the black boxes and the
pentagon tapes locked up for another year. Plenty of time to fabricate phony ones.

6. I've suspected the same
also they don't want any "defense" information coming out. But yeah, I forgot about the black box, good thinking! I'll bet that's it.

7. I doubt it
The judge might throw some witnesses out, but the trial should continue. The prosecution might just get some substitute witnesses or something.

Why does everybody think we're going to get the American 77 stuff in this trial anyway? I haven't seen any specific statement by the prosecution team saying that they were going to use the black boxes from American 77 or the missing Pentagon videos.

8. They weren't going to use the black boxes or the videos
But the excuse they've cited for suppressing these things all this time is that they don't want to
prejudice the trial.

4. Don't hold your breath...

This government has no intention of letting out any more info than is already out there. If it could, this admin would destroy what's already in the public domain.

10. How about Flight 93's Flight Data Recorder information?
Although for the life of me, I don't understand what rationale is being used to keep it suppressed so far ...
