===============================================================
Cognitive dissonance is a psychological phenomenon which refers to the discomfort felt at a
discrepancy between what you already know or believe, and new information or interpretation.
This is the reason the people of America won’t see what is staring them in the face. They’re
simply too stupid to admit they’ve been duped, even though their survival depends on it.

1. Cognitive dissonance outcomes
In brief, the theory makes two critical predictions.

First, people will try to strengthen existing beliefs by rejecting contrary information and actively seeking out supportive information. Second, the energy believers put into doing this will increase as the boundaries between believers and others get stronger.

In other words, opposition strengthens belief and the more people believe in something, the harder they'll fight to keep that belief no matter how obvious the increasing absurdity of their beliefs and actions might be to the uninvolved.

2. I'm sure the neocons
knew this when they planned the biggest lie of all time.

===============================================================
If the lie is big enough and told often enough, it becomes a religion.

3. You have to repeat the truth
over and over, because the lie was told over and over, too.

4. Damn Right
That No Plane at the Pentagon flash presentation that appeared a year or so back did more to stir up the believers in the official story than any long and technical essay. It became almost viral and was the first exposure to alternative scenarios that many people had.

Many diehard MI and Li-hopers dismissed it as simplistic and superficial, but that was not the point. It WAS simple, yet sensationalistic, graphic and most of all accessible, produced in a trashy TV style to which mainstream thinkers could relate.

5. So if I understand your point
The neocons are banking on people strongly holding on to perceived facts and evidence, rather than the fictions, sophistry, and speculations provided by the CT community.

Meaning the contrived fakes, forgeries, facts, and realities created on 9/11 were so good that no matter how strenuously those elite members of society got the "truth" out, people would still cling to their silly notions about 9/11. Notions that those clever neocons have planted in the minds of the citizenry to cover their tracks.

6. The Sheeple mindset..............
As long as 90% of the population believes that there's an invisible guy that lives in the sky, 83% believe in miracles aka "anything is possible and anything can happen", over 50% believe in creationism and think the Earth is 6,000 years old. Their secret is safe!

The "Good Germans" will lap up whatever cold crap the neocons put on their plate.

7. Boy am I glad there are folks like you to keep be a guiding light
to those poor poor souls that believe in a higher power, have faith in their God, believe in the supernatural. Those poor things needs someone help these poor intellectual cripples into the glorious light of mans own reflection.

I have a special place in my heart for those that view people of faith as intellectually crippled, easily lead sheep with no hope of leading a fulfilling life. Just going through life happily being told what to think and do by their masters. That special place is called pity. I genuinely have pity of you for being so devoid of wonder and hope.

Thank you MrSammo1 for being that gilding light. :sarcasm:

8. Can I take it you believe 90% of Americans
are "good Germans" lapping up the neocon tripe.

Really? You believe that? As the 10 percent of those that have "seen the light", you must feel a tremendous burden to share your thoughts.
