Anti-pullout activists change address to Gush Katif
Dozens of anti-disengagement activists from the right recently have changed their addresses on their ID cards to Gush Katif settlements, in order to get by checkpoints to be set up by the Israel Defense Forces and police along the Green Line as the disengagement nears.

The activists plan to resist the evacuation from within the settlement bloc.

The address change does not require presentation of any documentation to prove the person actually has moved. All that is necessary is to go to an Interior Minister Population Registry station and report that ones address has changed.

The IDF and police intend to prevent anyone who is not a resident of Gush Katif from entering the area as they seek to reduce the number of people who will be within the bloc for evacuation.

Youths from northern West Bank settlements and rightists living inside the Green Line are among those who have changed their ID card addresses.
