PA security forces members involved in exposed terror cells
The Shin Bet security service Thursday released details on the exposure of a number of terror cells that had planned attacks in Israel. According to Shin Bet data, security forces have thwarted 15 attempts by West Bank terror groups to send suicide bombers or attackers into Israel since the beginning of the year.

The Shin Bet also reported it had uncovered a Bethlehem-based group comprising Tanzim activists and Palestinian security forces members who were responsible for the last two suicide attacks in Jerusalem, in which 19 people were killed. According to the Shin Bet, the group was also planning to commandeer at least one Israeli bus, take its passengers hostage, and hold them in the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem.

It appears that initial contacts between the leading activists in the group were woven by Ahmed Mugrabi, one of the heads of Tanzim's military wing in Bethlehem, who has been in Israeli custody since the summer of 2002. Mugrabi, now being held in Nafha Prison, was involved in the murder of 14 Israeli citizens in terror attacks in Jerusalem and Rishon Letzion in 2002.
