Motorcycle tour of Israel like emotional roller-coaster
Something different.

EN BOQEQ, Israel - It was blistering hot and members of the Toronto motorcycle club Yids on Wheels, or YOW, who have come to the Jewish homeland to celebrate its 60th anniversary as a state, had pulled into this idyllic Dead Sea resort town 300 metres below sea level for a beverage and a few minutes in the shade.

"When I signed up this was a dream and now it is a dream come true," said Gerry Susskind, YOW's 65-year old road captain, who has been fighting off esophageal cancer.

"From the moment we picked up the bikes from customs in Haifa it has been an awesome roller-coaster of emotions as we've travelled from green pastures to parched deserts."

"We're going to Poland to visit all the concentration camps next summer," Lee said, "and after that we are going to cross over to Ukraine to see Babi Yar" where the Nazi SS murdered more than 30,000 Jews in the largest single massacre of the Holocaust.
