If you've ever looked at the cost of keeping a website that does the volume of a DU then you know that surviving on donations from users makes fundraisers necessary. That Skinner and Co hold it to once per quarter, and unobtrusively at that is pretty damn decent of them.

So, if you are a regular poster consider the value you get from this site and kick in some cash. Hell, you even get stuff - a bumper sticker - that would look good in your pickup window, slightly offset from the gunrack - you get a gold star - which lets you search posts to see what other crap Lunabush has told you in the past - and, lastly, and perhaps most importantly, you know that you get the peace of mind to help DU through another quarter.

This is the money quarter, gang. This is where we pull out the stops to defeat GWB. This is where the bickering and infighting stops and the cohesion begins. This is where the Gun Control folks and the RKBA crowd find a way to work together for what should be our primary goal - re defeating AWOL!

attribute the donation to anyone? Can we send it at random times? Or send it in memory of banned posters? hahahaha

6. if you have to send cash through the mail...

... wrapping it in tinfoil can boost its chances of getting to its rightful recipient. This makes it undetectable if someone holds the envelope up to a lightbulb to see whether there's money inside. The whole letter will look more natural if you tuck the foil-wrapped cash into a couple of sheets of heavy or dark-colored paper, and use one of those business envelopes with the squiggle pattern on the inside. Keeps the posties from eating the bread.

Me, I'd suggest using a money order if you'd rather not send a personal check.

Money's a bit tight right now with school starting and kids dropping class for other sports.

Christmas time should be good this year though, we hope ;)
