7. That's a lousy way to hold an AR-15

AR-15 barrels (other than very heavy target ones) are very flexible.

That left hand position is guaranteed to cause vertical stringing of shots. Much better to hold the off hand snugly up against the magazine well so it doesn't cause the barrel to warp. When I learned that in AR Shooting 101 it brought my 100-yard group size from about 12 inches down to 3 inches instantly.

The 20-round magazine is kind of unusual.

when shootng from the prone or from a rest or bi-pod. 30 rounders only get in the way if you get down low on the bench.

14. That is a "spotting scope".

It is used to see the holes in the target so one doesn't have to retrieve the target before shooting again. Adjustments can be made and he can shoot again more quickly. The scope is not attached to the gun. That is an optical illusion, kind of like the one that the wingnuts exploited when they claimed that the ATF agent was "pointing" his gun at Elian Gonzalez. Good demonstration of the fact that one doesn't need a photoeditor to "lie" with a photograph. Another example is the family photo with a telephone pole growing out of Uncle Ed's head.

fun is fun. But two things of note. Skinner has asked that we not discuss CU and I can respect that. I do think it was bad judgement for me to have posted the pic - I failed to realize it was identifiable - I was only curious as to the scope on front.

The other item, lets not abuse the folks over there. I don't like it when our policital rivals come in and nab our pics and mock them and I don't know that turn about is, in fact, fair play.
