Yesterday, I emailed MoveOn.org a long message about gun control and the proposed AWB

urgun them to oppose any new measures supporting either. I intend to continue to do this from time to time till the issue is resolved.
I hae been a member of MoveOnsince the primary election last year.

I would urge all pro gun people here to email any organizations or politicians you think appropriate and tell them your opinions and ask them to vote against gun control and any new AWB. You know the reasons and you know the antis are already doing their business with these organizations. We should be heard so those in power KNOW how many Democrats own and carry guns.

7. I've never gotten any response either

I'm what is known in PA as a NRA Democrat, and I have felt disenfranchised by the party since the late 80's. I believe that most of the Democratic leadership is knee-jerk anti-gun, and it only hurts the chances of Democrats of getting elected. I believe that as a society, we must help those who need help, educate our people, provide adequate services. But I also believe that our Second Amendment rights are individual rights, and that the progress of Concealed Carry by individuals who have not demonstrated their unfitness to do so shows that MANY Americans agree. I also don't think that what you do in the privacy of your bedroom between consenting adults is any of the government's business, or recreational use of cannabis should be illegal when alcohol has proven to be much more deleterious. I think the Democrats are more likely to support most rights and freedoms, but wish that they would stop flogging the same anti-gun horse!

who just don't get that no matter how nice you are, there are people who are willing to hurt you anyway.
