Police Investigate Fatal Shooting

Peoria police officers are investigating the fatal shooting of a man Sunday night on the city's south side.

26-year-old Ricky A. Hurt was found dead around 9:00 p.m. Sunday in the 2100 block of West Howeet Street.

Polie say an unidentified man reportedly fired several shots into Hurt's vehicle. The suspect then fled the scene. Police are calling the shooting a homicide.

TACOMA, Wash. -- A man was found dead in Tacoma early Tuesday, and police said he appears to be an intruder who was shot by a disabled homeowner following a break-in Monday.

Police officer Jim Mattheis said the body was discovered in another house in the city early Tuesday morning.
