INTERVIEW-U.S. official says trade deficit with Israel too high

JERUSALEM, March 10 (Reuters) - The United States is concerned that its trade deficit with Israel continues to widen even as Israel receives large amounts of annual U.S. aid, Under Secretary of Commerce Kenneth Juster said on Wednesday.

"U.S. exports to Israel have fallen every year since 2000 to the point where the (trade) deficit is approaching $6 billion," Juster told Reuters.

"Given the expensive interaction with Israel, that's a troubling development."
