(Just for a date to throw out there ... Wiki mentioned two escapees ... in 1950. Threw out 1978 because that's when "terrorism" hit home with Iran ...)

I guess that bringing in the terrorists for trial means that people will get the idea that massive prison breaks happen all the time in the U.S. "maximum security prisons" ...

1. That's what cracks me up about the thought of housing prisoners in the US.
The repukes and their followers talk as though we're going to bring them here and release them on Main Street USA. They don't mind having murderers, rapists, arsonists and the like in their local prisons as long as they're from America I guess.

But the thought of Islamic prisoners from some foreign country in the same prisons sends them slithering to their 50's era bomb shelter?
I guess that I'll never understand what goes on in the minds of these people.

Even if some of the people at Gitmo are guilty, why are they going to be able to break out of prison when the American prisoners can't?
And if they do escape, exactly how are they going to be able to stage large scale terrorist attacks the second that they escape?

It's too early in the morning for me to understand the thought process of these people.
