Connecticut House Extends Hybrid Sales Tax Exemption
Hartford-AP, Apr. 27, 2004 8:00 PM) - "Here's a sales pitch: buy an environment-friendly car, and don't pay sales tax.

The House of Representatives Tuesday voted to extend a sales tax exemption to motorists who purchase alternative-fuel cars.

Representative Anne Ruwet, who purchased a Toyota Prius two and a half years ago, voiced support for the bill.

The sales tax exemption is extended until 2008 under the bill."
