From the Arbor Day Foundation, here’s an animation that demonstrates the shifting plant growth, or “hardiness zones,” in North America from 1990 to 2006.

2. I knew it from observation (plants that survive winter here that aren't supposed to) but thanks!
The animation really brings it home, how drastic the change has been in just 16 years.
