King Co. Council approves car charging outlets
The King County Council has approved a program to install up to 200 electric car charging stations on county property.

The Associated Press
SEATTLE —

The King County Council has approved a program to install up to 200 electric car charging stations on county property.

Drivers would be able to reserve a spot at county facilities such as park and ride lots to plug in and charge up their vehicles.

County officials say electric cars are the future and they want to support it.

The ordinance passed today uses federal stimulus money to upgrade utilities. User fees will cover operating costs.
