"Clean House, Clean Planet" by Karen Logan
I bought this book last fall & have been trying out some of her earth friendly cleaning recipes. I've been very impressed with most of them & now purchase vinegar & baking soda in bulk, at Costco. (baking soda in 12 pound bags!)

I have used the last of my commercial (ammonia) glass cleaner & will never by chemical crap like that again. It is so nice to clean the tub & my windows without worrying about what I'm inhaling.

I'd be interested in hearing any one else's natural cleaning suggestions.

Highly recommended!

1. I switched over
when we moved to our current house about 18 years ago and I had to get used to a septic system. I love the way the vinegar makes my house smell and it is wonderful to know you are not adding to the chemical mess we are in.

2. I invested in an industrial quality steam cleaner . . .
a couple of years back . . . not one of those cheapo things you see advertised on infomercials, but a quality piece of machinery . . . one of the better investments I've every made, imo . . . cleans anything and everything better than solvent, gets into all the cracks and crevices, kills any and all germs, uses no chemicals, and the only operating cost is for water . . .

3. I'm not an expert, but I read Natural Home magazine from time to time.
They're big into natural fibers, flooring and other materials in the home.
