MY ten photos from the Non-Violent Climate Change Action of yesterday
:bounce: There are already like thousands of these on the internets but I posted mine anyway.
the 1st ones - http://www.flickr.com/photos/stunt-cat/

It was hard to pick these out, I took almost 200. (I had to post that Greenpeace guy because I thought he was cute and I loved his coat)

3. Dolly!
I love your cats.

Wait, this is supposed to be serious. But I miss my cats.

I'm so glad to see groups of people concerned about our environment's future.

5. Dolly! indeed
She's a feral I had fixed (sister to Thumby I think) She's so sweet, you can see it in her wild eyes.
I see her almost every day now, I love her so much :loveya:

4. Beautiful stuntcat
Thanks for sharing. K&R

Our guest these past few days has been one of the guys protesting mountaintop removal in WVA. We found out yesterday they've had some Temporary Restraining Orders filed against them by Massey Coal. It's starting to get interesting.

6. mountaintop removal..
Edited on Tue Mar-03-09 10:52 PM by stuntcat
My mom lives IN those very mountains and had no idea what was going on there until I told her
I collected some stuff to mail to her so she might share it with people.. most people in Eastern NC have no clue where their power might come from. And every time I've visited there I see it's the most beautiful place on the whole Earth. And they're blowing parts of it up for a few hours worth of power.

7. I wish we could join our buddies on the mountain top
There are so many things that go on that people don't realize. I really learned a lot from Guin when he was here. He's been an activist, in the true sense of the word, most of his life. From being a homeless advocate in Las Vegas to his more recent attempts to bring light to MTR, he's a hero in my book.

I think it was Cherry Pond Mountain where he said they were removing the mountaintop to get to a three foot vein of coal. It's all so sad.

That makes me sick. I wish more people would care enough to stand up to this, those guys in the video are the Heroes.

9. That's what Guin told me
At least that's the situation with one of the mountains they've been to. And I agree with you, those guys are the heroes.

Guin said he and the others found the Temporary Restraining Orders that were issued by the court during their foray into DC on the door when they got home last night. They're trying to determine whether to go back and get arrested before the court date or to withhold further actions until after the court date.
