2009 Time For Action

Having read and contributed to posts on this site over the last year and beyond the one element that seems to be missing is action.

Telling each other the perilous state that the planet is in is all well and good but naval gazing won't change the problems that face us all.

Having a Democrat President may go some way to making a move away from the path of suicide that we are on, yet the ingrained beliefs that have led us on our present course are firmly established and will be hard to relinquish.

As a consequence now is the time for individuals to make a stand. Turn off the computers and get out into our communities, raise awareness, push alternatives and create change.

Some may be pushing that mountain yet from reading this forum far too many seem to prefer hiding away, reading the press and bemoaning our lot.

Personally I intend to continue to take part in demonstrations, keep on pushing the facts and looking for opportunities. At work I have got myself onto a climate change working group. I am going to join a Transition Town group, continue to reduce my energy consumption etc. etc.

Ok so what about you????
