We need to bail out HUMANITY, not the banks - We are our brothers' keepers
41 years ago today, right when he was about to mount a Poor People's Campaign, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was gunned down. Today is the 41st Anniversary of King's assassination. Below is a link to a free flyer in honor of Dr. King. The global poverty statistics included in the flyer - those in King's time - and those in the present - are shocking. Passing on the information this flyer contains would certainly be an excellent way at both honoring King's vision, and opening others' eyes to the currently still dreadful state of humanity - and it doesn't have to be this way.
**Can you take to heart the words King spoke just 4 days before he was gunned down? That's what this flyer will ask you. Take the King Challenge - in his own words - and see. If King were alive today, he'd tell us to bail out human beings, not banks. It's a LIFE AND DEATH ISSUE. We are our brothers' keepers.

Here's the link to the King Challenge flyer:

1. If King were alive today....
We would probably not be pretending to be at war with each other, and would be fighting poverty and ignorance like there is a tomorrow.

The 3 people that should be alive today, that should have inspired us all to peace and prosperity and tolerance are JFK, MLK and John Lennon, IMHO. We needed these voices in our public debate on direction, and we're suffering for the absence now.

2. No need to try
we bail out our sisters and brothers and ourselves not by making great effort and headstrongly trying, but rather by letting go, surrendering the whole, effortless doing, going with the flow - which does not mean inactivity.

The answer to Einstein's question "Is universe a friendly place" is - yes! And that forest answers the way we address it.
