"Use Your Chase card to Pay Your Taxes"
I just got this email below. It seems unseemly at best. They are so desperate for business that they want people to pay their taxes with a credit card. That's bad.

Chase can help make paying your taxes a little easier this year. You can use your Chase credit card to pay your federal, state and local taxes quickly and securely.

Using your Chase card is the easy way to:

• Pay your federal and state income tax, local property and real estate taxes, penalty fees and more

• Spread your tax payment over time and control your cash flow

• Earn rewards for every tax dollar you charge

There's no delay, no hassle and no writing checks when you pay your taxes with your Chase card. Take advantage of our easy and secure tax payment service for a convenience fee as low as 2.49%.2 Please visit chasepayyourtaxes.com to get started today.

3. Makes sense if you owe a large tax bill and are near bankruptcy.

Put it on their card and then file for bankruptcy. Unsecured cc debt can be dismissed a lot easier than an IRS levy.

7. Not since the rules changed in Bankruptcy "reform" act of 2001.
Authored by good ole Joe "Mastercard" Biden.

Escaping CC debt is now virtually impossible unless you are utterly destitute (no assets, no income, no job, nothing).

With new "system":
If there is any portion of your income remaining after govt calculates necessary living expenses (power, food, transportation) you can't file 11 anymore and must file ch 7.

All your non-essentially income goes to CC companies for next 5 years.

Not as hard as IRS debt but CC debt is very difficult to dismiss now.
Bankruptcy is a joke for the consumer.
