This is the paper that did the four day series on the "Tiger Brigade" discussing the attrocities commited by same and the coverup after the investigation. They were awarded a Pulitzer Prize for their work.
Here's a shocker for you. The coverup happened while Rumsfeld was the Chief of Staff for Ford (?) and Cheney was SecDef I think. Was listening to NPR and driving 70 MPH on the way home from work.
Ok, no one from Toledo take this the wrong way. All I can remember thinking was that it's a sad state of affairs when the Pulitzer for investigative reporting went to a series on atrocities that happened decades ago when there are atrocities and stories worthy of investigative reporting happening RIGHT NOW. I worry that it is a commentary on the lack of serious investigative reporting nowadays.
