Why does the media hide Pickering pro-"anti-miscegenation law"
He in his own words has stated that he wants to make enforceable the anti-miscegenation law , and that he has an "adverse reaction" to those who "reflexively claim discrimination".

Why does the media hide the above facts?

As a law student, Judge Pickering wrote a law review article urging the Mississippi legislature to amend the state's anti-miscegenation law to make it enforceable.

Only the attempt to reduce the charges against a defendant accused of burning a cross on the lawn on an interracial couple is ever mentioned - with the excuse that that fellow got a harsher sentence than those more directly involved.

No mention of his handling of hate crimes, anti-gay position - In a speech before the 1984 Mississippi Southern Baptist Convention, Pickering lumped homosexuality with social problems, according to The Clarion Ledger, a Jackson, Miss., newspaper. "Judge Pickering has advanced a body of jurisprudence that does not reflect America's highest values and the individuals within his jurisdiction deserve better," HRC President Cheryl Jacques said in a statement Friday evening. "A man whose career has been marked by racial divisiveness and anti-gay prejudice cannot be trusted to fairly interpret the laws of our country."

When will the media notice how similiar the Bush by pass of the Congress to get a racist on the bench, a "perfectly legal action" - is to the Hitler appointments where Hitler swore that everything he did was "legal" (Shirer's Rise and Fall of the Third Reich).

The MLK gravesite boos barely get a mention as he uses his response to those Boos -of a Pickering by pass appointment - power by intimidation and force--to show us the mode of a fascist, cowardly bully - and our media is silent.

2. because most people don't know the word
or if they do, they don't realize how recently anti-miscegenation laws were on the books in some states.

3. For those that don't know
mis·ceg·e·na·tion: n. 1. A mixture of different races. 2. Cohabitation, sexual relations, or marriage involving persons of different races.

I had to look it up.

Pickering should be an automatic campaign issue. It is a sad state of affairs that bu$h could even suggest, let alone place this back woods racist anywhere except in the unemployment line.

4. He could have been a campaign issue
just as someone Bush so wanted; but, for Bush to sneak him in as he did makes this major! This should not be let go.
