Asking what can be done to stop the violence in Gaza.

Too bad they didn't see it this way during "Shock and Awe".

what can be done? Tell Israel to stop bombing Gaza. Simple as that.

I think that if Hamas had been treated as the democratically elected government that they were, that things would not have spiraled out of control. The US and Israel have treated Hamas as a terrorist organization from the onset, so what's happening now is no great surprise.

I'm sure I'll get flamed for having the audacity to speak ill of Israel, but the truth is that they hold the power, hence the majority of control of the situation and thus the ability to stop the violence.

Now, of course, the damage is done, and it will be far more difficult to fix.

2. Right in ixion...

There has never been anything close to equal treatment of Israel and the Palestinians. Until that happens there will be no peace and Israel makes it worse every single time by killing way too many civilians, including children - that only makes things worse.
