Their fact check said Kerry was wrong to say that Shinseki was forced out early because he was not telling the Bushies what they wanted to hear regarding the number of troops required to maintain order in Iraq after overthrowing Saddam Hussein.
They even said that Kerry should know better by now since this 'error' has been pointed out repeatedly.
ABC said that Shinseki announced his retirement before the time that he gave his advice and testimony about a post-war Iraq.
But, goddammit ABC, Kerry never said that Shinseki was forced to resign, he said that he was pushed out EARLY. (I think it was 6 months early.) Anybody who know office politics knows how this works: someone is going to leave at some time in the future and when he's not popular with management, he is often forced to leave before that time.
ABC should apologize and correct the record. But, who to contact?
