Can I please have some common NEGATIVE myths about Dean?
Edited on Wed Oct-15-03 03:50 PM by UnapologeticLiberal
I tried posting this before, but I got too many people who don't like Dean chiming in with how they think everything he says is a lie. So I am restarting it and making it more clear what I am looking for:

My friend and I are making a "Myths and Facts" sheet debunking common NEGATIVE myths and misconceptions about Howard Dean. So I was wondering, what are some of the NEGATIVE myths you have heard? The most worrisome one I heard was that he wanted to cut off aid to Israel, which was completely untrue but somehow seemed to stick with a lot of the Jewish students on campus. So I put together a sheet with his positions on Israel, and now we are working on a sheet like that that we hope will clear up a lot of common misperceptions. So if you have heard anything untrue about Dean or something you are not sure whether it is true that you think needs to be cleared up, please post it here. If you feel like writing a rebuttal, that would be nice, but you don't have to...we can take care of that.

Moderators, you can go ahead and close the other thread. Sorry for the dupe.

3. People who know nothing about him
tell me they've heard he's angry. I tell them he's not angry, he's passionate, but that's a perception that's out there.

4. Do you want to try to debunk the argument that he has libertarian leanings
Or is that not the kind of "negative" you were thinking about?

5. Not sure
I agree that he has some libertarian leanings, but I am afraid it can be spun wrong. The thing is, the actual libertarian party is so extreme, but there are a lot of people who have moderately libertarian leanings, and on some issues, Dean is one of them.

7. He's for tort reform
I would love to find out if his alignment with R's on this can be debunked. (It might not be a myth; it might be fact.)
