I am about to tear my fucking hair out with all these Kerry and Dean fight
Edited on Tue Oct-14-03 12:29 AM by JohnKleeb
back and forth. To be honest looking at it, no one is squarely to blame but its annoying as anything honest to god. One thing I have found interesting is that people who totally disagree on candiates but agree on one thing that Kucinich is great, not a bragging but its interesting. I just think this madness must cease. Christ guys, its no one's fault completely but it is annoying as hell. I tell you that shit ought to cease its drivin me nuts. Damnit I need something to cool me off guys but please. Look at the goddamned prize at hand we are gonna get that good for nothing Bush out of the white house. I support Kucinich all the way at the momemnt and nothing would please my heart then to see this man president, if he doesnt get the nod I will support the nominee maybe not with what I have for DK but I totally admire and respect Kucinich the same way some of you do for your candiate or candiates. I just want this fighting to stop. Maybe its not that big of a deal but its driving me nuts. No I dont have to be here but I think this is pathenically annoying. So am I overreacting or what? Nonetheless I am tired of it guys, do it for me, above all do it for yourselves. LOOK AT THE PRIZE. That son of a bitch Bush will be gone. Here's my opinion on it ok. I like Kucinich above all. Kerry I disagreed with IWR but other than that I feel he is a good senator and worthly of president and Dean I applaud his fundraising efforts though I disagree with his more conservative economics plus I applaud his stand as governor for civil unions. Still all for Kucinich guys, it would be great if we let this cease. and maybe support Kucinich

1. HA!
See my post that must have followed yours by no more than five minutes under the orignal Kerry-bashing post. I couldn't agree with you more...

3. Its so goddamned annoying
I am about to tear it out, its so annoying. It is interesting though, many die hard Dean supporters admire Kucinich a lot and the same goes with Kerry supporters, and the people with other candiates do too, but Ive seen people who disagree with each other to death on most things including candiates yet they agree completely on Kucinich, I had that happen myself. I dont wanna rant and rave but I dont like it. Who cares if Kerry has a rich background honest to god, FDR was rich as hell yet a benevolent man. Seriously some of the stuff is flat out bs.

2. John...I'd LOVE to see it end
I've never started a negative post about another candidate... ever... and even though I'm in one of those two camps.... I wish to Heaven it would stop.

4. Youre a good person indigo
Ive never seen you to the same. Just because someone does it to you doesnt make it ok. Ive wanted to lose it and bash myself but I think about it, and think why not be positive about my candiate who I deeply admire.

8. In the last week or so
it really has turned into a constant Dean vs Kerry battle on P&C... what I don't understand is where are all the Clark people... everytime there is a DU poll Clark outpolls Kerry so how come the threads are 80% pro-Dean, pro-Kerry, anti-Dean, anti-Kerry? Are we just more passionate about our guys?

I do have to give you Kucinich folks credit for being so positive... occasionally someone chimes in on a negative thread but I can't remember any DK people ever starting one.

But for the record (as I'm sure most of you know) I don't think there is anything wrong with negative threads or comments as long as they follow the rules... hey it's politics... we could never be as nasty and unfair as the Republicans even if we wanted to, it's not in our nature...

I am not gonna blame Kerry or Dean supporters for it. I am not sure if we have ever starting one, yeah some have chimed in, we arent saints. Its hard honestly Fean not to get mad. Go Kucinich and peace. I will support the nominee I promise.

11. Yes, Kucinich supporters have done it too
I sometimes browse through the older threads and I saw some where Kucinich supporters (not all, but a few) were attacking Dean.

I dont doubt that one that we have attacked before but the worse of the shit comes from the two candiates I mentioned.

14. I dunno...
the way they fight, I think it must be love.

I just don't read many of them any more, but I gotta admit, once again, that I admire the passion of some of them. Haven't seen this kind of passion in a campaign in years.

I remember Johnson-Goldwater, when there were fistfights on the streets. Great stuff. People cared.

Of course, some people here are just assholes, but I ain't namin' names.

18. I have tried everything I know to get this crap to stop
I criticise Dean supporters when they spout nonsense, I have repeatedly asked for rule changes to reign it in, I have tried humorous posts, serious posts, posts siting both particulary good and particularly bad threads, I won't ignore it due to my firm conviction that Gore's camp did this at our peril. If you have any suggestions I, like Ross Perot, am all ears.

19. I've been thinking alot about it though
and in reality...does it really matter what we are saying here?

I'm not trying to downplay the importance of the decision we are making at all... but frankly...those who are on some frikkin mission from God (or whatever) to open the eyes of the clearly mislead heathens and those who take heated offense(myself included)... aren't really accomplishing much here are they? The cast of characters in this small forum of a moderate sized internet site on politics is really pretty small. We're just sharpening our claws on eachother...

Meanwhile... the real work goes on outside of here (yes I'm involved) and...

a coworker just stopped by my cube and said "who's that guy on your screensaver?" LOL

21. It matters a bit...
If it could just be kept to civil discussion of issues... but it always seems to denigrate to 'you're such an idiot if you think that matters' and 'yeah well you're supporting a lying loser so there' kind of statements.

I'm sure I've been guilty of this kind of crap... most of us get defensive and post before thinking at least once in a while.

But I agree it seems to go on endlessly btw Kerry / Dean.

Oh and btw... indigo is that avatar Ani? Just curious. :-)
