SHOOT TO KILL ORDERED AT G8 IN GEORGIA
In May, 25 2004 Pacifica News reported on their daily news broadcast about the current orders being given to the police that will be responding to the G8 conference in Georgia this year. According to the broadcast, the governor of Georgia (as of May 25th), was going through the motions of declaring a “state of emergency” during the G8 protest. This so called “state of emergency” would allow the police in the entire state to break up, any and all “gatherings of people” to protest any event. However, the suspension of the first amendment is not the only card up this governor’s sleeve.

In correlation with this “state of emergency” the commander of the police forces has ordered a: “SHOOT TO KILL” order, that will pertain to all individuals that the police themselves feel are “threatening” the lives of “world leaders” that will be gathering for the event. This order will only go into effect if the governor is capable of issuing a state of emergency.

2. Florida redux -- the lockdown proceeds state by state
If you didn't see Bill Moyers NOW special on the crackdown in Florida, I recommend somehow getting a copy. The cops were given a pile of money from the Homeland Security terrorism budget, they got a special law passed that suspended the usual Constitutional protections for the duration of the protests, and the taped interview with the chief of police looked like something out of the Nuremberg Trials: all steely-eyed sureness of purpose and no remorse.

I have a sister-in-peace who is an accountant: "Follow the money" is her motto. Find out where Georgia will be getting its money to follow through. Find out if New York and Massachussetts are getting big bucks from the feds.

Note for fashionistas: Brown shirts are de riguer with those 3-piece suits this year!

5. THERE IS NO LAW

There is no law that can suspend the bill of rights. Any such law is null and void before the ink dries.

Protesters ... I suggest you start wearing helmets, body armor and clear shields to defend yourselves against Pinkerton thugs. We'll make Les Miserables look like a picnic in Georgia and New York!!!!!!

What do you think the USA PATRIOT Act is intended to do? To further inform yourself google for BORDC, the Bill of Rights Defense Committee.

I think protests are right, and the way things are going they are inevitable, but it's imperative that anyone who engages in protest and/or civil disobedience in 2004 under the Bush Regime be informed regarding possible consequences. Work with experienced people you trust, and be alert at all times for agitators who suggest property destruction and violence -- they may actually be working for the feds and will put you in a world of hurt should you follow their lead.

Don't talk about how there's no law that can negate the Bill of Rights -- get informed on how the Bushites in the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of government are actually making those laws happen under cover of national emergency.

Remember: we have one chance of getting rid of these theocratic corporatist world-dominating thugs this November -- we can vote out the entire Executive branch by voting out Bush. But if he gets another four years, he gets to appoint federal judges who will then be in line for the Supreme Court. Several of the Supremes are getting ancient, and three of them can't hold on much longer-- one of Dubya's potential nominees is the man who told him the Geneva Convention had "been rendered quaint" by the events of 9-11.

So whatever else you do, vote for John Kerry and tell your friends that a vote for Nader is only another way of ensuring Dubya's continued presence.

9. Enforcement of these illegal laws ...

... is a crime in and of itself. Granted, that they control all the strings of power. But eventually the courts WILL overturn all this crap. Not even the Reagan-era paleo-con judges are comfortable with this stuff.

6. I agree

I'm starting to sympathize with the militia nutcases. I'm thinking about buying a gun. I've never had the urge before.

7. Here's the answer to why the G8 is in GA
I believe Mississippi was the first choice followed by Alabama then Georgia. MS would have reinstated curfews for coloreds along with segregated lunch counters and public water fountains to be sure the uppity darkies didn't cause any trouble either. If they did, it wouldl be open season. The same for AL. Unfortunately for the Bush and the rest of the right wing, the first two couldn't accomodate the crowd that goes along with one of these.

Bush & the GOP -- reinstating traditional American values including shoot to kill orders.
