If you scroll down to where the form is, right click, and select "View Source" you can get the source code for the screen which will show the actual e-mail addresses. If you aren't sure where to look, use your tool bar and do an Edit>Find on the @ symbol. They are usually all clumped together.

28. I just e-mailed them but it goes to their Maryland office. Raleigh ABC

is independently owned, that God, but I e-mailed them about it anyway. Accused them of being "Unpatriotic" in not supporting the "Honoring of our Men and Women who have died keeping us free of Terrorism."

I turned their hypocracy back in their faces. I also put it, about VietNam veterans getting no recognition and how sad it was that they would censor a "liberal" like Ted Koppel who is being brave enough to read these names on air. :D

Got this message back from one of the Florida stations:

WTXL is not owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group, nor does Sinclair Broadcast Group control WTXL's programming; and WTXL's ownership and management never once considered preempting tonight's Nightline broadcast. WTXL is co-located in a facility with an Sinclair station (WTWC) and is staffed by Sinclair employees under a Joint Services Agreement, but WTXL is owned and managed by Media Venture Management. The notion that WTXL was included in Sinclair's preemption of the
Nightline broadcast seems to have been based on information from the Sinclair website that evidently created a mistaken impression. That impression was furthered by a Wall Street Journal report that apparently used information from that website uncritically. In fact, WTXL is airing tonight's Nightline and never once considered doing otherwise. I'm afraid your indignation has been misdirected.

33. I suspect there is some connection.

When you go to their website and click on "inside WTXL", and click "questions or comments about our newscasts" you get the following e-mail address:

wxtl.sinclair-broadcast-group-net.com

none of the other e-mail addresses are like this. I don't know enough about this stuff to explain it, but maybe it means they all spin their newcasts the same way, without the other programming being influenced by Sinclair Broadcast Group. Any other guesses?

I was going to send them an apology for my e-mail because they are surely getting bombed now that FAIR, MOVE ON, and CAP have covered this, but this stopped me short.

34. Not sure, but they did say they were airing Nightline tonight

so even if they are connected, they did the right thing. I mean that's kind of the bottom line...now if I find out that they lied about that, and the show didn't air, I'll have to write back and un-apologize. Good spotting on that e-mail address though - I totally missed that.
