Hello,
In the last couple of weeks, amidst the allegations from Richard Clarke, that the Bush Administration ignored the threat posed by Al Qaida before 9/11, there was another whistleblower, which didn't get as much attention.
Sibel Edmonds, an FBI translator, hired after September 11th to translate intelligence intercepts said that she was fired and subsequently threatened by FBI officials to try and silence what she had to say.
Edmonds went to the 9/11 Commission hearings and in a sudden move, stood up and told reporters that she was bribed by Johns Ashcroft and other officials to keep quiet her knowledge of FBI purposely mistranslating the intelligence she and her colleges had received.
She then testified before the 9/11 Commission closed to the public and the press.
Since her testimony many news agencies, Internationally, Locally, and in the internet have run stories about Edmonds and I was wondering if your agency is going be the last to report this very intriguing story?
The stories about her are mounting each day and i find it odd that you haven't run anything about it.
Sincerely,
A few of many related articles:
