Attention Cincinnati Democrats!
Edited on Wed Mar-17-04 10:54 PM by galadrium
No Republican has ever won the presidency without winning Ohio. Since Ohio is going to be a battleground state this year, my theory is, deny Bush Ohio, Kerry wins!

I have started a local website dedicated to promoting liberal ideas in Cincinnati... we can eliminate the right-wing infestation of our city and restore a true two party system, but I need your help.
Please visit www.liberalnet.com and join Cincinnati's liberal resurgence movement! Please visit the forum section and let your voice be heard.

3. Sorry it took so long....
but I'm glad to hear it. Too bad he didn't win Ohio, we Kentuckians really did try to save the day up there, but it turned out that the media establishment had already made the public's decision for them... Anyway, I'll check out the site, and good luck to you. I hope your site does very well and that we can change this region together. I seriously feel that the time and place for change are here in Middle America and NOW!

PM me if you want to talk strategy sometime.

4. KY is my second home,
I lived there for a year... I have a few ties to Kentucky, I only live about a mile from the border... and my girlfriend lives in Kentucky, anyway congrats on picking up a new Democratic representative.
As always the key to winning any election is obviously turnout. The right wingers are trying to claim that KY is a red state... but I don't believe it. KY has a long history of Democratic leadership... I appriciate your efforts to keep it that way.
Peace!

5. We're pleased Kerr was defeated....
and have been launching a campaign of informing Chandler that it was the progressive vote that came to his aid, and that he needs to remember that, and that it should be reflected in his stance in Washington. Don't know yet if he will abide.

But I do believe change is ready to happen in this country starting here. My wife and I attended a protest in Frankfort a month ago, seems governor Fletcher's idea of having a high priority for education is cutting it's annual budget, among other things. So there was a protest scheduled, and we went, and the turnout was great, but all of the speakers, with the exception of a lovely woman, were, as my wife likes to describe them, fat red-faced impotent democrats. My wife is a very intelligent woman you see. She has a point I think. These local establishment Democrats are every bit the problem that these evil landowning KY Republicans are.

So we believe they should all be replaced. Did you know, KY, especially Eastern KY had socialist federal representatives, state representatives, and local representatives well into the 50s. Also my wife has discovered that the unemployment rate in the southern fifth of the state is 28%! Ready for change I think....

Anyway, yada yada yada, good night.

6. I hear you!
I totally understand what you mean when you say "fat red-faced impotent democrats" we have plenty around here. Cincinnati is so right-wing, Democrats around here have to behave like republicans just to get elected.
You know even 100 years ago Mark Twain attested to how backwards-ass Cincinnati was. The quote goes something like this "When the end of the world comes, I want to be in Cincinnati because it's always twenty years behind the times."
