1. It was an awesome good show in the beginning... haven't seen it in a couple of years.
Remember the high school days when people didn't want to go their separate ways... "Hey, we can get a house! X can cook, and we ALL can clean!"

Kinda like that, but one of them gets famous, and in true friend fashion drags all the childhood friends along for the ride.

2. I"ve only seen the first few seasons.
There are some very funny moments, and Jeremy Piven is awesome as Ari, but I didn't find it compelling enough to stay hooked into new episodes.
