Cheating's rampant; anyone could be next
It would be funny if it weren't so frustrating. Because the rest of us are left wondering "Is anything we see on all of those Saturdays for real?" If national championship and Heisman seasons can simply disappear — vanish from the books — what are we really watching but a charade? What exactly did Auburn win, except for the right to be called champs until their Nevin Shapiro shows up to point us to where those bodies are buried, or in this case where Cecil Newton hid the cash?

Do not giggle, Auburn haters — or U, USC, UConn haters for that matter — your school easily could be next. Everybody has an illegal bagel somewhere, if not a bought-and-paid-for QB.

So, instead of another preseason Top 25, which are useless and premature anyway, I am going to try to rank the Top 10 programs (b) likely next on Charles Robinson's (c) itinerary.

1. Alabama (d). Crimson Tide alums watched Auburn win a national championship with a player (Cam Newton) everybody except Auburn-ites and NCAA idiots believe cheated. And instead of waiting for Robinson to nail them, thus forcing the NCAA to do its due diligence, the Crimson Tide wants revenge now — and no amount of tree homicide will do. So, when that Bear Bryant fedora gets passed around at Alabama's first game, well, do not ask. Just pay.
