Do you have a "pet name" for your SO? We have an app for that.
.
.
.
Actually there's not an app, but a name for that:
.
.
.
hy·poc·o·rism (noun)
1. a pet name.
2. the practice of using a pet name.
3. the use of forms of speech imitative of baby talk, especially by an adult.
.
.
.
My ex's hypocorism for me was "Pookieface"... though sometimes I heard it as "Poopieface".
.
.
.
She always denied that.
.
.
.
Actually, as I remember now... it wasn't 'sometimes'... it was 'quite often'.
.
.
.
'Always', even.
.
.
.
It was, um... you know... ... ... 'adorable'.
.
.
.
.
.
What's your hypocorism for your 'Poopieface'?
.
Or his/hers for you?
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
BTW... the real 'Poopieface':
.
.
.
.
.
.

4. I LOVE your answer... it fits you so well...
.
.
.
... so I'm positive your hypocorism does also!!!
.
.
.
I would have one for you, but I can't condense "sweet-and-loving-heart-with-delightful-attitude"
into one word.

From the Christmas Carol character and the fact she spends way too much time straightening her hair. 14 year old daughter no longer minds that, just as the animal is typically called "the cat," she is mostly referred to as "the child."

7. "Huggy Bear" here
for obvious reasons... OTOH, calling my husband "Honey Nuts" might take some explanation...

And get your mind out of the gutter!

I was thinking of the cereal- and how much I love him :pals:
