1. Absolute best line in the story: "Skydiving isn't like that."

:spray:

You're a far braver human than I am, Bossy Monkey! (Great story.)

9. Thanks! Mary's recollection was that the order of jumping
was determined by who was scaredest; that person would go first. My story is that I was the only one willing to jump from less than the advertised height. Which of course is in a way saying the same thing.

My blog stats show a visitor from Switzerland. I wonder who that could be?:P:hi:

2. I envy you
Skydiving is one of my dream adventures, but I'm not really sure I'd be able to go through with it, given the opportunity.

5. I learned, metaphorically, while jumping without a parachute.

And everyone in the FBI knows you never give up your weapon.

So pull the cord or not, because I don't mind riding this one in, your choice.

7. Skydiving planes are usually the sort of planes
you would want to jump out of. I think that's intentional.

10. First jump was absolutely thrilling
Second jump not as much (novelty had worn off) so I didn't keep it up. Plus, being a poor college student, it was rather expensive.

11. Really? I think if I had jumped again in short order, I would have been just as alarmed
Of course, if I jumped now, decades later, it would be like new anyway. But it's neat to hear your experiences.
