I and my team have been preparing for this day since October. But the thing about events is that no matter how much you prepare, it all comes down to everything going smoothly on event night. In general, I do not believe in special events fundraising. I think the most effective and efficient way to raise money is to ask people to give you money. But I do recognize that in some cases, there are compelling reasons to have a special event. I find them totally nerve-wracking.

Anyway, I'm off to work and I'll be back around 1 am. In my quest to ask for help from all the unseen forces of the universe, I did not want to miss my opportunity to carry lounge vibes with me today.

I know that folks have asked for vibes for much more serious matters than hopes of a smooth and successful fundraising event, but we surely do need things to go well tonight.
