1. The Nationwide guy revolts me - I can't change the channel fast enough
The rest of the crowd I can deal with.

Have you seen the newest Geico ad with the stiff-haired dude? "Does it take two to tango? It cracked me up more than any of the rest of the series.

PS you left out the Esurance crowd.

34. Don't worry about it, you're always good because of your NFL team.
:)

I'm not sure if I didn't see the picture or it didn't show when I posted that. Either way, I wouldn't have understood it was connected to the link or been able to identify them from it.

I didn't think it was a Rick Roll, but I have to be cautious what links I click on at work. Never forget clicking on a link once and hearing some rapper I've since forgotten scream out "MOTHER FUCKER!!!!" way louder than I expected. Not that I suspect you of such links, just on general principle, it's good etiquette to give some sort of description.

Mostly, though, I just saw an excuse to post some friendly snark. It's an irresistible urge with me. I'm not even sure I try to fight it, but if I do, I don't win very often.

6. I think he would be a little cruel
Just the way he looks and acts, even though he is acting a part, what I can see of his true personality makes me believe he could be small and then cruel.

For the record, I voted stiff hair guy, way too affected. I know that is part of the shtick, but he doesn't have the talent to pull it off. IMHO.

From The Ashes said he was hawt, maybe likes a little cruelty with sex? I don't dislike the actor, just not the sort I would like to get close to. To each his own.

8. I voted for Flo. I find her way too annoying and she's ALWAYS on.
I see her ads on TV numerous times every day, and I've recently started hearing them on the radio all the time too.

The caveman is annoying, but I was quite fortunate to have missed those ads when they were big, and I've actually hardly ever seen them. The little piggy is annoying but I don't see it as often as Flo and I do find it somewhat amusing that it is riffing on the kids' rhyme. I'm not very familiar with the Nationwide guy. Are they the company with the ad with the parrots in it? (I like that one because of the birds.) I kind of like the Geico gecko, and I do like their other ad with the woodchucks, riffing on that woodchuck thing.

38. Flo still drives me out of the room.
She reminds me of a totally self-absorbed nutcase I knew a long time ago. I actually like the others for various reasons (I love the gecko) and I adore Mayhem. He's perfect, and perfectly nasty, like the sexy guy you're drawn to, but know you should have nothing to do with...

9. The Gecko and the pig. The rest are pretty funny. The Nationwide guy is hilarious!
He's a perfect spoof.

The ones I hate are the State Farm commercials. All of them, from the singing accident victims to the "I'll Be There" ones. Actually, having watched several friends get royally tooked by State Farm after Katrina, that one can send me into a violent, cursing rage from which my television is lucky to emerge.

15. Tossup between the lizard and the pig.
I like Flo (even though Progressive wanted to quadruple my rates after moving to Connecticut), and the Nationwide guy with the old-school phone vaguely amuses me for some reason. The cavemen have some hits and some misses, and the bits that "Mr. Smooth" introduces for Geico are usually amusing, such as the Lincoln Family one. Although my issue with the Abe and Mary Lincoln commercial is that many people will think that we had moving pictures back in the 1860's.

I think of the squealing pig, and all of a sudden I want some young, tender pork chops.

Where the commercials are not about the product, but about someone person saying something else.

The weee pig comment is to program the label 'we' with unclean pig.

We is community concept not self concept.

The caveman thing is about people that see the stuff all over the place.

(side note the caterpillar drive in the movie hunt for Red October was the concept of one thought with many feet.
It was also in Myst, and also in a multidimensional episode of SG1.

Just like the name Ryan is used in so many places, many feet one concept.

Here is the thing, the commercial for Progressive, might not have anything to do with anyone that is progressive, just like the caveman thing might not have anything to do with those that think in ideas of less evolved, except to point out how the Caterpillar drive of the soviet PR machine moved from the soviets during Red Dawn, to US media systems.

 Pretty obvious.

Even the song Alice's Restaurant had the same concept. If one person says it, it is a nut, if many people say it they will think it is a conspiracy.

Well now it is all those things, and the people singing it did not even know it.

Ever wonder why Ben Afleck was trashed by the critics in all the movies he did, someone put out an Eyes only broadcast smearing him. However that does not mean it is true, could have been a political thought, or some other concept of some choice some groups did not like.

There are people with TV access using things in metaphor with visual representation to make comments about people and groups, and some people follow it.

Here is a funny one.

Note that the singer talks about not wanting to hear what is in his ear.

Then comments on drinking jack at the bar. :) Pretty funny since the guy has a Seattle shirt and hat on.

19. Can't stand the Nationwide guy.
That has to be one of the stupidest series of commercials ever made. They're not funny at all, and I want to punch that idiot in the mouth every time I see his face on my TV screen. I seriously hate those commercials and that dude with a passion.

I want to be friends with the gecko and Flo.

I have no opinion about the stiff-haired guy himself, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the woodchucks commercial that he "introduces". I think it's the funniest commercial out there right now. I've seen it at least 20 times and it still cracks me up every time.

There's just something very irritating about them. Not the Flo character- I like her. Mostly, I think it's that 'ding, ding' background noise and the stark appearance of the white and blue colors that bothers me.

41. State Farm Guy
I guess being annoying could help sell insurance. The expression of the guy sitting outside the Cafe tells you everything you need to know. Later he gets in everyone's way by the Newsstand.

He does such a good job I couldn't remember what brand he was selling even though I've seen this at least 30 times.
