Live Holographic Concert in Japan
Edited on Thu Nov-11-10 06:52 PM by AsahinaKimi
Hatsune Miku, a Japanese idol Vocaloid Holograph Plays Sold Out Concerts

Vocaloids are anime musical characters with a computerized
vocal sound tract. The voices are a combination of various artists who have lent
their pitch and sound to the computer. There are no real singers. Just the sounds
put to music. Enjoy!

2. I have a question.

Is the hologram really the 2d video clip that creates the illusion of a hologram in front of people.

Side note, I explained how hologram tech can be done years ago.

With laser emitters that intersect at points in 3d space, the phenomenon of the eye ignoring light at a ratio of 1 to 20, can be used to create a hologram.

Basically within a gas surface that can reflect light, cross 20 lasers to light a point, then cycle through them fast enough to create points in space. It would requier very small laser immiters or mirrors that could be cycled through to light each point at a very high rate of speed, and a lighter then air gas that holds photon charge to float up as the protection surface.

Although I think it makes sense and is workable. As long as the lasers are rotated to create points of light within the hologram only at intersections then 20 banks of lasers for each dpi resoulution line, could easily create a hologram.

 sounds like it would work.

Side note, their was a good article where they used 'tech' as a false explanation for the supernatural in Stargate TV show, as Stargate tv show used aliens for a false explanation for the supernatural, so

3. Fantastic!
Edited on Fri Nov-12-10 04:39 AM by Vehl
I saw this on Huffingtonpost and came to DU; thinking I should post it here but you beat me to it.

This technology is truly fantastic! ..this concert took me the days of FF VIII and FFXX, lol if i rem correctly the game starts with a similar concert.

Needless to say, there would be so many different applications for this technology.

As a PC gamer, I hope for a time when this technology is available for games. Something better than the one shown on this You tube trailer below for RUSE
